Tokyo 2020: Olympics postponed

According to the International Olympic committee (IOC) member Dick Pound, the Tokyo 2020 games will be postponed. The games that were expected to start from July 24^th, 2020, will now most probably be shifted to next year.
This decision has come after Australia, Canada and Great Britain decided not to send their respective Olympics team to Tokyo

The corona virus has continued to shut down various sporting events. Earlier this month, sports leagues around the world had to be cancelled out or postponed.

This will be the very first time if the Olympics gets postponed. In the past, the Olympics got cancelled twice due to World War 1 and World War 2.

This year’s Olympics were supposed to be held in Tokyo. 11,000 athletes belonging to over 200 countries were expected to compete in 339 events. Many people who had jobs at this event will also be affected as well.

Pakistan Football Federation has been suspended by FIFA

Pakistan Football Federation(PFF) has been suspended after PFF headquarters were taken over by Syed Ashfaq Shah and its group. The Federation was being run by a Normalization Committee which was appointed by FIFA. The Committee was headed by Haroon Malik. FIFA had deemed the takeover as illegal and had given an ultimatum to Syed Ashfaq Shah and its group to hand over the PFF control by March 31st or face overall suspension It is understood that the ultimatum was ignored.
